R BAR

Saturday 10.02.2010 Rex Hobart and The Honky Tonk Standards 09:00pm - 12:00am Their songs are right out of the Buck Owens songbook, and will break your heart, if you have one. They're decidedly reverent, but definitely not an aping museum piece, either. You have not heard straight up honky tonk done like this in decades. www.myspace.com/rexhobartandthemiseryboys Wednesday 10.06.2010 The Fabulous Ginn Sisters 08:00pm - 11:00pm The Fabulous Ginn Sisters have made a career of breaking hearts in clubs across North America. The result is a smoky, drunken stumble through a broken-heart junkyard. Thursday 10.07.2010 Mak...

Celebrate with Bo Lings

The Chinese Moon Festival is on the 15 th of the 8 th lunar month. It's also known as the Mid-autumn Festival. Chinese culture is deeply embedded in traditional festivals. Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese. The Moon Festival is full of legendary stories. Legend says that Chang Er flew to the moon, where she has lived ever since. You might see her dancing on the moon during the Moon Festival. The Moon Festival is also an occasion for family reunions. When the full moon rises, families get together to watch the full moon, eat moon cakes, and sing moon poems. The Moon Festival is also a romantic one. Lovers spend such a romantic night together tasting the delicious moon cake with some wine while watching the full moon. The moon cake is the food for the Moon Festival. Try it at Bo Lings
