Brazil Market

The only Brazilian store in the metro to my knowledge at the moment. The people are really talkative and nice. I went in search of a specific Brazilian coffee (Cafe Iguacu). The meat shop in the back sells imported beef from an Australian farm that is ran by Brazilians. According to the owner, it's the beef that most closely resembles what Brazilians consume back home. The Quality of the meat is apparently so great, that Fogo De Chao and a few other Brazilian steakhouses n the metro are now ordering their cuts of meat through this market. As far as other products, I did notice things such as guava paste, guaranca soda, Acai berry juice, and a few other things. More informations Kevin

Chez Elle

I begged my husband to take me to Chez Elle since it had been forever since I had a crepe. He hmm'ed and hawed, saying "fine, but I'm stopping somewhere else for lunch afterwards." We got a meatball crepe (on special that day), a pollo verde and my toddler got a cheese and chicken crepe. We all wolfed everything down. My husband was pleasantly surprised and said we could return anytime I wanted to LOL! The following week, I took my girlfriend here. I had the Legume and she had a breakfast crepe. We shared the cherries dessert crepe. DELISH! The only gripe is that the coffee is expensive and just okay. We will definitely be back! More informations

Kansas City fans

Kansas City fans who support soccer teams from other lands are excited for World Cup to begin Neighbors had reported a disturbance. A raucous party was indeed in full swing — and with good reason. Argentina was playing in the World Cup. Because the game was in Japan, kickoff locally was 2 a.m., but that didn’t deter the Rodriguez family from playing host to a gathering of nearly 50 people. “Argentina scored and everybody went nuts, and then the cops showed up,” said Nahuel Rodriguez, a son of Eduardo and Silvia. “We had to tell them we’re watching a game, we’re not doing anything weird. We got complaints, but we didn’t care.” That’s the power of the World Cup, which is held every four years. In 32 days, the craziness begins anew. Fans from across the globe will descend on South Africa, while more than a billion people are expected to watch at least some of the tournament on TV. Cities in Europe have been known to shut down — stores close, public transportation ceases — when the nationa...
