Souper Bowl Week of Caring to Provide 50,000 Meals

Harvesters and Kansas City Chiefs teaming up to feed the hungry

Kansas City, MO – Join Harvesters and the Kansas City Chiefs as they team up to “tackle” hunger during the Souper Bowl Week of Caring, January 31 through February 5.

Across the community, many families, including many working families, do not know where their next meal is coming from. Many others are making the difficult choice whether to “heat or eat,” deciding whether to pay for utilities or heat or buy food. Harvesters and the Chiefs are calling on everyone in the community to help score a touchdown for the hungry by providing 50,000 meals during this year’s Souper Bowl week.

“Harvesters’ network is feeding more people than ever before and food is literally flying off our shelves,” said Karen Haren, president and CEO of Harvesters. “We are excited to be partnering with the Kansas City Chiefs to collect much needed food and funds to help us feed hungry families.”
